Last weekend, my cousin, Eddie Hyung visited LA all the way from NY. I havn't seen my hyung for like 7 years so I made a trip up to LA to spend time with him this weekend. I must make a shout out to him for being such a good hyung, showing me a good time, paying for everything, and just being the great hyung he's always been. I love you man.

This is where I get in trouble with the POLICE ( not cus of my hyung btw)
On tuesday evening, I received a phone call from my mother and she told me to listen to a message that was left at our home. The message sounded something like this, "Hello, my name is Officer Wolfe from the Southern California High Patrol Investigation Services Unit, and I am looking for Kevin Nho regarding case number: FT06-193. Please call me back at 323-644-9550...."

(This was good right? You're like DANG, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!)
After hearing this, I was in utter disbelief, and I told my mom to replay the message numerous times so I can really soak in and understand what he was trying to say. Then, my mom became VERY anxious and started interrogating me and asking me if I did anything illegal over the weekend.... I called the number around 6pm, and the police department was closed at 5pm. I started to become pretty anxious myself, fearing for my life. I tried doing some research and I even looked up the area code (323). Turns out, that's near hollywood, which is exactly where I stayed this weekend. At this point, I realized the officer must be calling me regarding something I did in LA. Then, all these thoughts started running through my mind. "Did I accidently run a red light? Was I speeding on the freeway? Did I hit and run and not even notice? Was there a crime at our hotel, and are they just asking me a few questions because I stayed at the hotel? Did I drove after a few drinks? No, we took a cab... and I wasn't even intoxicated. Was it because I went to a korean club? Those places might have done somethign illegal... No way...." It made no sense. I did nothing absolutely WRONG. Still, outrageous thoughts kept seaping through my mind and started eating away at my consciousness. "What If I did something wrong? What If I have to go to jail? I only have 2 months of school left....this is going bad bad bad..." And that second, I remembered I let my Hyung borrow my car. I even called and asked if anything happened as he drove himself back to the hotel. But NOTHING happaned....
I was dumbfounded... I didn't do ANYTHING wrong, and an officer was out to get me. The worst part was, the department would not open until 8 am the next day, so I was sitting here, freaking myself out and waiting impatiently until I found out WHY this officer Wolfe was out to get me.
...To be Continued.....
(Haha okay, I'll stop)
This morning, I woke up at 9 am just to call the police department. Wow, I must have been pretty anxious to call the police because I woke up with the phone in my hand. haha. Anyways....I stepped outside of my room and dialed the number to the police department. I got transfered over to Officer Wolfe, and the conversation went something like this....
Me: Hello, my name is Kevin Nho and I'm returning a call from last night...
Officer: O yeah. hmmm.. So... From what we have here, it appears that you have been trying to make a fake ID.
Me: Excuse me?
Officer: Yeah, we have a fake ID with your information
(At this point, more outrageous, ridiculous thoughts were going through my mind.... "Did I ever make a fake? No...O shoot...maybe this is because some people were making fake ID's in LA and I was present....Did someone mistaken me and rat on me? Omg...."
To be continued..........
(haha okay seriously, just trying to make this story a little suspensful just so you guys know the gravity of the situation)
Me: No sir... I have never made a fake ID.
Officer: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm sorry, YOU'RE the VICTIM.
Me: What?
Officer: Turns out, someone has a got a hold of your social security number. We don't know what they did with it, but we just know they made a card with your number on it, but a different name. We scanned the card, and the card turned out ot be fake. But we know you, and this number matches. So what I want you do to is to check and run your cerdit report and make sure they didn't use any of your money.....
Me: Okay...
DANG. WTF? SOMEONE IS TRYING TO STEAL MY IDENTITY?!?!? You mother effer. So yeah... Someone used my social security number and made a fake social security card..... I would have never thought this would happen to me. My housemates were joking around saying I'm a lucky guy and I should go buy a lottery ticket right now....
So yeah, this is like the spiciest my life has been for a few days. haha. I was pretty damn scared though....good thing everything's okay. Okay, not really "okay," but I didn't do anything wrong.
I hope you enjoyed my story.
I love you guys.
